Looker Studio + AI - Smart Internal Search Analysis - free e-commerce report
This report takes internal search engine analysis to a completely new level. It goes beyond simple “what users typed” by combining GA4 search data, your Google Merchant Center product feed, and AI text categorization.

The report is available for free as a one-time PDF audit
I will generate a personalized PDF report with AI-driven recommendations based on your store's last 3 months of search data, completely for free.
What I need from you:
1. Temporary Viewer access to your GA4 BigQuery export (`events_*` table).
2. A link to your Google Merchant Center product feed (XML/CSV).
(Note: The process is completely secure. I only read data and do not modify your BigQuery environment. The AI categorization is processed internally on my side.)
How does this magic work?
Standard GA4 reports only show a list of search terms. This report uses BigQuery to combine three powerful data sources:
- GA4 Events: Captures the search term, the page where the search occurred, and whether the session ended in a transaction.
- AI Categorization (LLM): Analyzes the search phrase and tags its intent (e.g., Product Name, Problem/Need, SKU, Category, Feature/Attribute).
- Google Merchant Center Feed: Cross-references the search term with your actual inventory.
Why is this information important?
Understanding HOW your customers search dictates how you should optimize your store:
- “Problem” searches (e.g., “dry skin cream”): If these have low conversion, your users need education. Direct them to a blog post or buying guide.
- “Feature” searches (e.g., “waterproof running shoes black”): Indicates users know what they want. If conversion is low, your category filters might be broken or hard to find.
- “SKU/Specific” searches: High-intent buyers. If these don’t convert, check your pricing against competitors or verify stock availability.
- Missing Inventory: Identify frequently searched terms that don’t match anything in your GMC feed (lost sales opportunities).
Why won’t a standard setup do this for you?
Because standard Google Analytics 4 doesn’t understand context. It treats “red nike shoes size 10” and “how to clean suede” as equal text strings. By introducing an AI layer and product feed validation in BigQuery, we turn raw text into actionable e-commerce strategy.
